FIRST ACT THEATRE TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • First Act Theatre will not tolerate any behaviour that we deem to be aggressive, disruptive or offensive to our staff or members. We have a care of duty to both our staff and members and should you/your child be asked to leave on these grounds no refund will be provided.

  • The Jubilee Theatre is a Grade 2 listed building that we are fortunate enough to work in and we expect all members to show due care and respect to the theatre, fittings and fixtures. We expect the same care to be shown to props, costumes and the company's technical equipment. Any damage through wilful action or ignoring care instructions will be billed.

  • First Act Theatre operates as a meritocracy. Productions will be cast via auditions and the best people on the day will be cast. Please do not expect that time served as a member or previous experience/roles with the company will have any bearing.

  • Rehearsal and production photos will be taken and may be used to publicise the show and the company. These photographs will also be available to purchase by members of the company. Should you wish to withdraw consent for your/your child's picture being taken then please express in writing well in advance of rehearsals commencing.

  • All children must be dropped off and collected on time for rehearsals and workshops. Children under the age of 16 will not be allowed to leave the premises without a handover to a parent/guardian unless permission is expressed in writing in advance.

  • First Act Theatre must be informed of any medical conditions/needs in writing that discuss any problems/situations that might arise or action that may need to be taken by staff if required.

  • Workshop fees must be paid on time. These can be paid in advance online via the website, or by cash/cheque at the first session where you have booked via email (excluding free taster sessions) Our places are limited so please let us know if you will not be returning so that we do not put someone on the waiting list unnecessarily.

  • If you are cast in a production you will be supplied with an availability form to complete. Barring exceptional circumstances please honour this as we will endeavour to schedule rehearsals to utilise everyone's time to the fullest and not call cast when not necessary. An unexpected absence will throw the whole system into chaos and is both disrespectful to the staff and fellow cast mates.

We don’t have any products to show right now.
