As the play progresses we learn that Charley and Myra Brook, the owners of the house, are throwing a big tenth anniversary party and they've invited all their socialite friends over. As each couple arrive we learn more and more about the rumours, the scandal and the accident.

Or was it an accident?

If it's a party, why were the Police called?
